Fruit Fly Treatment Procedures

Fruit Flies can be controlled through the use of residual pesticides applied to the key areas and breeding sites (typically at ground level where syrup, grease, and other decaying organic matter tends to accumulate).  This procedure, in combination with regular fogging using a non-residual, contact kill aerosol in the morning and evening (when these insects are most active), has been proven to be very effective.  The adult fruit fly does not become sexually active until three days after it's emergence from the larval stage, which means regular fogging twice daily substantially reduces the adult population, resulting in significantly reduced numbers of insects.   If total elimination is the goal, we will advise you with regards to the deep cleaning procedures necessary to eliminate their breeding sits, as they depend on decaying organic matter for survival.
