| Wasp Facts
The most common two types of wasps that homeowners experience problems with are paper wasps and mud daubers.Paper Wasps: The paper wasp is a social insect that builds hollow, paper nests on the outside of homes or other structures starting in the spring. From that point on the queen lays eggs and the workers feed the larvae and expand the comb or nest. These wasps are not extremely aggressive, but will readily sting intruders if they feel threatened.Mud Daubers: Mud daubers are not social insects like their cousins the paper wasp. This wasp is characterized by it's slender waist and shiny black or brown color. The singular female builds a series of cells in long clay tubes to enclose the eggs, larvae, and pupa. These wasps are not aggressive, but do have the capability to sting if stepped on or otherwise harmed.Control ProceduresWe offer a spring/fall
